Over the past week I have been hearing a lot about James Corden and Patrick Stewart's bust-up at the Glamour awards, so wehen I had the chance I went and looked at it on Youtube. I couldn't believe the way Patrick Stewart behaved. He was so rude to James Corden and just seemed to make the whole of the audience cringe. Apparently, Corden had made a joke about Stewart earlier on, but it was just meant to be a joke, Stewart's jokes seemed to be a lot more truthful and intended to be hurtful. What struck me the most was how much it reminded me of being at school and university. Being on a fashion course, one of the bitchiest around, I constantly have people sneering at me and no doubt saying things behind my back. I often exclaim to my friend, 'why do people have the right to judge and say things about you, when they don't even know you?!' I'm sure from time to time we think certain things about people we see in the streets, but I try to stick to the idea that if you wouldn't say it to their face or to someone who knows them, then you shouldn't really be saying it at all. Sometimes this doesn't always work out, especially when I get annoyed or just fed up, but I try my best. I can't believe that someone like Patrick Stewart, who is a well-established actor behaved this way in the public. Fair enough, Corden answered back which probably made things worse, but I would love know what was going through Stewart's head at the time.
